When Embrace Runs Cold

Biblical, she says
knowledge clothed,
patience breathes deeper than my soul.

Quiet
fragility rustling,
leaf structures deaf to their faults.

Broken timber-
a mother’s cry,
splintered words unapologetic, hollow.
