& a smile, blinding

So for my 25th birthday, two of my presents were a sketch pad and an art tote. In the art tote were paint brushes, a ruler, protractor, pencils, erasers, paint, another sketch pad, and oil pastels. Today, I has this urge (and heard a soft whisper) to pastel this bible verse, Matthew 5:8. I have never used oil pastels before, but I kind of like (love) this. It looks way better in person (to me). I had so much fun with it, especially after I started letting go. 🙂

I’m not a perfessional by any means, but I now have this longing to go art crazy, outside of poetry, though I’m still going to write. I just have this really strong pull towards drawing, painting, pasteling.

I want to do this for God and other people. If you have a favorite bible verse, words (poetry, books, maybe evern movies), or something else you’d like to see me create, please leave a comment. 🙂

I don’t know why God has me going back to something I wanted to be seen for, but this time around feels new, different.

And a little scary. But I’m trusting him with this. I can’t wait to see how painting goes…
