light, flood me

I lean against

the door–weeping,

God, I am a liar. I

want permanence.

He whispers so softy,

I am right here.

I stare at the blinds

& imagine His robe

beside me, wearing

compassion quietly.

I need you, but my

heart is bent away–

let me lie here on

this hardwood floor

until I am emptied.
